Fireplace and Stove Glass

Whether you have a fireplace, wood stove, or pellet stove, you know how important it is that your fireplace or stove is in proper working order. When it comes to your fireplace or stove, broken or damaged fireplace and stove glass is more than just unsightly, it can also leave you in the cold when fall and winter roll around. With that in mind, the experts at Dick’s Rancho Glass provide replacement glass for fireplace and stoves of all varieties, with the fast and comprehensive service needed to get your fireplace or stove back in working order without hassle or delay.

Pyroceramic

Pyroceramic is commonly referred to as glass but it is actually a transparent ceramic. First developed in 1957 as Corningware cookware, pyroceramic glass has been adapted into glass applications. Pyroceramic is 3/16″ or 5mm thick. Unlike true glass, Pyroceramic withstands continuous exposure to high temperatures without fear of destruction. It withstands temperatures up to 1200 degrees and can be cut while you wait. It is also resistant to failure due to temperature variation. This makes it the ideal solution for many wood stoves and fireplaces where glass panels are less than 6 inches from the flames.  We can also cut special shapes and arch top pieces of pyroceramic glass to fit into your specialty fireplace doors.

Tempered Glass

We can also special order tempered glass for your fireplace doors. Tempered glass is heat strengthened glass and is typically found in fireplace screens. Tempered glass comes in many different thicknesses and is special ordered to fit. While Pyroceramic only comes in one thickness and color, tempered glass comes in many different thicknesses as well as different tinted color options. The turn around time for this type of order is 1-2 working days.

Call us with the approximate sizes of your fireplace door or screen and our customer service representatives can give you an approximate quote to replace the tempered or Pyroceramic glass in your doors.
