‘Tis the season for screens!
Things are heating up and screen season is upon us! Now is the time to open your windows and doors and let the fresh air in! To let fresh air in but keep those pesky bugs outside of your home we recommend that homeowners inspect their window screens and screen doors for tears, holes, bent frames, broken corners and degradation to the screen fabric. If there is damage to the screening material often we can simply re-screen the screens for you. If the damage to the screen is beyond repair (broken corners or bent frames) we can use your original screen to make you a duplicate. We offer a variety of different screening materials to best suit your needs:
Fiberglass Screen: Standard Fiberglass insect screen is the most frequently used and most affordable screen option for windows and doors. Precision woven fiberglass screen ensures lasting color, flexibility and curb appeal. Easily installed, durable and long lasting, this screen is the preferred choice among industry leaders. Available in charcoal and grey fiber glass.
Aluminum Wire Screen: Aluminum screening provides the same amount of ventilation and insect protection as the fiberglass screen. While wire screening is more durable when it comes to withstanding the harmful effects of the sun, the wire mesh is more likely to become damaged by pressing against the screen material. Available is charcoal or silver.
Ultravue Screen: UltraVue is an excellent Visibility screen that offers a premium viewing experience. It is designed for 15% greater openness providing 25% better airflow. Ideal for windows or low traffic applications where the focus is on the view.
Tuff Screen: TuffScreen is a heavy-duty, vinyl coated polyester insect screening that is ideal for use in high traffic areas. Pet resistant and tear and puncture resistant, TuffScreen is stronger than regular insect screening.
Pet Screen: Phifer PetScreen, pet-resistant insect screening, is tear and puncture-resistant to prevent damage by dogs and cats. Ideal for use in high-traffic areas. The guage of the vinyl coated screening is thicker than Tuff screen and it has a tighter weave which reduces air flow and visibility.
Suntext Sunscreen: SunTex exterior shading fabric is made of strong vinyl-coated polyester. SunTex is mildew and fade resistant and needs only an occasional cleaning with mild soap and water. Ideal for use as a shading fabric on windows, doors and porches. Suntex 80 blocks up to 80% of the sun’s heat and Suntex 90 blocks up to 90% of the sun’s heat. Available in the following colors: Black, brown, grey, beige, stucco, and white.
