HOW TO REINSTALL LOOSE GLAZING BEAD

The glazing bead is a vinyl strip along your window frame that helps block out drafts. If your glazing bead has come loose, follow the instructions in this how to video to reinstall it.

The glazing bead helps keep the window block out drafts. These instructions will walk you through how to reinstall the loose glazing bead on Milgard® windows.

1. Start in the corner where the bead has released from the bead channel. Place the 45-degree end back into the channel.

2. Begin tapping the bead back into the bead groove at the corner. Since it doesn’t require a great deal of striking pressure to re set the bead into the bead groove, you may use many different items that you may have around your home to tap the bead into the bead groove. Note: Be careful to not strike the glass

Safety Note:  This activity is appropriate for individuals with an understanding of how to use simple hand tools. Remember to wear eye protection and to make sure that pets and small children are not present when performing these activities.
